COINTREAU - best to mix in coctails

MARGARITA
The Classic tequila cocktail.
40 ml tequila
20 ml Cointreau
40 ml lime juice
salt
sugar

Shake and strain into a champagne saucer or large cocktail glass rimmed with salt.
The Margarita cocktail was invented by Margarita Sames, at Hotel Acapulco in 1948.
The original Margarita recipe states that the cocktail should be mixed with the citrus liqueur Cointreau, since the Cointreau gets whitishly murky when chilled with ice. If you think the drink is murky enough by the precense of lime itself, and if you are fresh out of Cointreau, you could try mixing it with triple sec. But the result isn't quite the same.
The best salt rim is made by rubbing the glass' outside with a lime or lemon wedge, turning the glass up-side-down and sprinkling salt onto the outside of the rim.
